The Siakara workshop is presented by The Third Voice - a new vocal trio made up of Christina Mimmocchi (one of NSCC’s regular choir leaders), Clarita Derwent and Gemma Turner. All three have followed various musical paths since singing with “world music” ensemble Blindman’s Holiday in decades past, and reunite to sing new and much loved songs, all with vocal harmony at their centre. Their love of Cuban music and the opportunity to travel there and work with local musicians has made it possible to bring these songs - not often heard in Australia - to you
